College Counseling Services
Every student and family has different needs during the college search and selection process. In some cases, that process may start as early as the freshman year of high school. What courses are most appropriate given the student’s academic background? In which kinds of clubs and activities should the student consider participating during their high school experience?
Regardless of the answers to these questions, it’s important for rising freshmen (in particular) and sophomores not to place a great deal of emphasis on college planning at this time and focus on their studies and to HAVE FUN. They’ll have plenty of time to think about college majors and choices during their junior and senior years. Families also have great resources available in their school and/or college counselors.
Some families may wish to seek extra guidance after school hours and during summers in which case an independent consultant can prove helpful. The amount of guidance sought over the course of the high school career can vary by family.
I can assist students with the college resume, college essay, high school course selection (the student should consult with their school counselor as well), personalized college list and more.
